Iron Legion
Concept · fictional brand
A five-page site for a 24/7 strength and bodybuilding gym, built to do one job: turn a phone search into a booked free workout. Iron Legion is a brand I invented. The gym, the founder, and every number on the site are fictional, made so I could design the whole thing end to end.
View the demo →Note: Iron Legion is not a real business. The gym, its founder, the address, phone number, pricing, rating and reviews are all invented for this piece, and every page on the demo carries that disclaimer.
An independent gym going up against the franchises.
I set myself a real problem: an owner-run gym with no franchise call center and no lock-in contracts. That independence is the whole appeal, and it's also the hard part. The big chains have brand recognition and ad budgets a single location can't match.
The site had to do three things at once, on a phone, in a few seconds: look serious enough for real lifters, build trust in a one-person operation, and get someone to book a free workout instead of scrolling past.
Every choice points at one action: come in and lift.

Went dark, bold, and high-contrast
Franchise gyms are all bright blues and stock smiles, so I built the opposite. Near-black, a gold-to-crimson gradient, and heavy condensed type, so the site feels like the room it's selling. The look does the positioning before a word is read.

Led with the free workout
The strongest hook a gym has is "try before you join." I made Claim your free workout the main button in the hero and brought it back at every natural stopping point. Each one taps straight to a phone call, so interest turns into a booking with no form to fill out.
-
Built trust in the operator, not a brand
A stats bar (24/7 access, 15+ years coaching, 0 contracts) and a "built by a lifter, for lifters" section about the founder answer the real question a stranger has: can I trust this place, and this person?
-
Five pages, each with one job
Home sells the gym, training explains the programs, membership handles pricing, about builds trust in the owner, and location gets you through the door. Splitting it lets each page answer one question properly, instead of one page half-answering five.

Phone-first, and fast
Most local gym searches happen on a phone, often while standing somewhere else. Built by hand with no page-builder bloat, so it loads instantly and the call button is never more than a thumb away.
Where most members actually decide.
The whole layout collapses into one thumb-friendly column. The call button stays in reach, and the free-workout offer is never more than a scroll away.
A full gym site, designed end to end.
Five pages, desktop and mobile, built by hand and deployed. Iron Legion is a concept brand, not an operating gym, so there's no traffic, no bookings, and no rankings to report. I'd rather show the work honestly than dress it up with numbers that aren't real.
It's here because the thinking holds up on its own: how to position a small business against bigger competitors, and how to build a site where every page pushes toward one action.
